DIAMOND FACE HAIRSTYLES DIAMOND FACE HAIR

DIAMOND FACE HAIRSTYLES

Halle Berry

DIAMOND FACE HAIRSTYLES

Diamond shaped faces tend to be very long. The cheeks are wider in these shapes, and the forehead is wide until it reaches the hairline, where it narrows. The chin is often narrow. If you have a diamond shaped face, you need to balance all of these features. You should try and make your cheeks appear smaller and shorten the length of your face.

You should not cut your hair close to your head, because this will bring out all the features you don’t want attention drawn to. Make sure the style you choose will give your chin an appearance of width and you may want to tease the sides of your hair because it can help with this. Bob cuts are great for diamond shaped faces. Layers are also great for diamond faces. Use curling irons, a roller brush, and mousse can help you style your hair so that you can bring attention where you want and off of the features you would like to hide. Layered cuts will work no matter what length your hair is.

Bangs are very important if your face is diamond shaped. In fact, they are your best friends. Make sure that your bangs cover your forehead. You can sweep them across, cut them jagged, or even leave them in a straight fringe but make sure they are over your forehead. This will make your face appear shorter and will even out your features.

2010 HAIRSTYLES FOR ROUND FACES

One of the most common shapes for faces is round. Don’t despair if you have a round face – you are not doomed to look chubby forever. There are lots of extremely cute and complimentary styles for round faces but make sure yours really is round. Friends, family, your stylist, or a mirror can all tell you for sure. Choose hairstyles that are specifically for round faces. The wrong style can leave you looked rounder and as if you are quite heavy.

SHORT HAIR FOR ROUND FACE 2010

Christina Ricci

Go for styles that add length to your face. These will have longer hair that frames your face and will make you appear thinner while helping to emphasize your natural beauty. A good style to try is the angled bob. This trendy style can be tailored to your own individual needs and tastes. For those who love the ease of short styles, this one is great and don’t worry that it’s short. Your stylist can adjust it to suit you perfectly and frame your face with your bangs.

MEDIUM HAIR FOR ROUND FACE, GREAT FOR 2010

Mandy Moore

Curly hair is great for round faces. Let your hair frame your face and wear bouncy, loose curls. If you wear tight curls, they will just add to the roundness of your face. Wear your curls to your shoulders or even lower for the most flattering looks. This is a great way to wear long hair and to get curls you just need a curling iron or hot rollers. If you want to wear bangs, make sure you sweep them off your face or they will add roundness. Parting your hair on the side will make you look very feminine while making you look thinner.

Let’s face it – being in the mainstream is boring. Everything is predictable and many people look exactly the same. Alternative hairstyles are far from mainstream and are fun, wild, crazy, and trendy. A lot of alternative styles have a bit of punk in them. Stars that are more independent and spunky, like Sarah Harding or Pink, have alternative styles and sometimes start the trend! These styles are perfect if you don’t want to look like anyone else but still want to look great.

PINK WITH ONE OF HER FAMOUS ALTERNATIVE HAIRSTYLES

You can’t really make a mistake with alternative hairstyles because anything goes. They are strictly for having fun with your hair and making your statement. For short hair, do something adventurous. A short alternative style is no longer than the jawline and often has jagged layers, bangs over one eye, or some other exaggerated styling. Pink and Rhianna are great examples for someone wanting a style like this. These styles are much easier to maintain but if you end up not liking it, you’ll be waiting a while for it to grow out. Make sure you go to a stylist so you don’t end up looking like a clown and your new style will suit you.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA

Medium and long hair is great for alternative styles, though they take a bit more work. For medium hair, have a cut below the jaw but above the shoulder. Have fun with highlights, asymmetrical shapes, and layering. You can have longer fringes, wear it up or down, and anything goes. Christina Aguilera and Kelly Osborne are good examples. For long hair add layers, color, fringes, curls, and wear it any way you want to. Lil Kim and Christina Aguilera are good examples. Longer hair suits anyone and really can make your statement.
