The most famous and common hairstyle among African-Americans is the afro. This style can be sported by both men and women. It is the oldest black hairstyle and even till present day people maintain afros.
Another popular style are the dreadlocks. The first person which comes to mind is Bob Marley. Bob Marley popularized the rasta dreadlocks in the late 60’s and is still the most popular hairstyle among youngsters. It requires lots of maintaining and care. In fact, this makes your hair look dirty and messy.
There are a lot of black hairstyles that people have tried through the years and still continue to experiment with it by creating new variations to the older hairstyles like the dreadlocks or the afro or even creating new hairstyles all together.
