Sun, Beach, Pool And Your Hair

Sun, Beach, Pool And Your Hair

Sun, Beach, Pool - Keeping Long Hair Looking Great in Summer

I am positive that many of you love summer season – the sun, beach, pool and other outdoor fun. It is a time to be seen by others. However, being under the sun and in the water for too long a period can damage your gorgeous long hair; leaving it less than desirable. If you find yourself fretting over it, stay calm because I have just the tips for you.

If you are planning on going for a dip in the salty ocean water or the chlorine-filled swimming pool, be sure to apply leave-in conditioner at home before going out for the day. By doing so, your hair will have less room to absorb the salty water or/and chlorine which can be damaging to your long hair. Be sure to apply good quality leave-in conditioners; preferably those that contain UV protectors in them.

Applying these leave-in conditioners is also a breeze. Shampoo your hair as you would normally do, towel dry it and finally massage these leave-in conditioners into your long hair evenly.

For those of you who have curly/wavy long hair, you might realize that keeping those curls/waves under control can prove quite a challenge as the humidity can cause dryness and in turn, cause it to be all frizzy and frazzled. The best advice I can give you is to shampoo less or use curl conditioners alone even. If you do shampoo at all, try using one that contains silicone. When using conditioners, do not rinse it out totally. When you are out, use hand creams when you feel the need to moisturize your hair.

With the above tips, you can continue to have beautiful long hair all throughout summer while still enjoying the fun under the sun!
