In Between Hairstyles - Summer Fall 2009 Short Hair Edition

For those who have ever had a bad haircut you wish you never got, there are many ways of dealing with the style until your hair grows back out. Here are a few ideas on how to make that style work for you until it gains some length.

In Between Hairstyles

Bobby pins and barrettes will hold short hair away from the face when waiting on a bob or a pixie cut to grow out. Simply sweep the short bits of hair into pins away from the face to make the illusion of having more hair in sparse areas. Combs for the medium-short hair can be used to create the appearance of more height and body, while minimizing the sparsest of the actual hair.
Weaves are commonly looked down on and got a bad reputation in the early 90’s. Weaves can be used when the wait for hair to re-grow is too long for comfort, and there are many ways of attaching them. When they were first invented, the only way of attaching them was by gluing them to the scalp for a painfully fake look. Now, there are many ways to attach as well as different styles and colors. Human hair is used for newer weaves, and can be dyed, cut, washed and treated as you would your own hair. Don’t attempt to create a look with weaves at home. Your professional stylist should always be sought for this type of fix, as it is time consuming and very hard work to complete correctly.
